missed blogging opportunities.
Since I’ve been blogging a couple of years now, it’s pretty impossible to not actually think about your blog. When I have something good coming up, I can’t help but think about how it will make a great blog post. Last night, this was the case. Maggie and I had planned a big Mexican fiesta for friends incorporating the Velveeta, Rotel, and taco seasoning I brought back from home. With just over 10 people coming, cooking was certainly madness and I don’t even want to speak of the horror that was my kitchen this morning. Of course, our friend tequila was invited over for dinner, too.
It was only until I was nomming on leftovers this morning that I realized despite setting my camera out and hanging around for hours, I managed to go the whole night without taking photos. This is what I call a missed blogging opportunity. You know, sometimes coming up with content isn’t easy and heck, I like to record these memories. However sometimes, you get so caught up in the awesome moments that you turn up photo-less and all you have is your tequila hazes and queso filled stomach to hold on to. And today, I remind myself that that’s Ok.
And now, I will leave you this photo of this oh-so-festive, sombrero-wearing tequila bottle, because I just don’t like going photo-less on my bloggy.
Don’t forget to check out Stamp of Approval Saturday #5 and add your favorite links from this week! Hope you had a great weekend!

Tequila and the camera aren’t always a good mix! Maybe it was a good thing you missed this blog opportunity! : )
I know what you mean though, having a blog as well, everything is documented with photos that once in a while it’s good to just live in the moment. Congrats for being okay with it! Now I’m hungry for some Mexican food…
You know what, that is a FABULOUS point. But yet it makes for such entertaining photos the next morning.
i think about that all the time now too! i hate when I forget to take pictures, I did that on Friday. booo.
I used to be the photo QUEEN, like people hated how many I took and lately I’ve just been so forgetful.
I definitely feel you! During all my Christmas parties in December I just resorted to using my phone because I had a little bit of photo-burnout. I think, for me, I either go balls to the wall or I don’t take pictures at all. I prefer not taking pictures if I had to choose one or the other because when I go paparazzi on everyone, that’s all I’m doing …taking pics…not enjoying the time!
So true, I’m so all or nothing on the photos too. Like once the camera is out, it’s not going anywhere.
I always forget to take pictures, no matter what I do. I really need a fancy camera to remind myself of taking pictures.
I’ve been trying to take pictures more and more, and slowly but surely I’ll get it. xo, Maria
I am sure the next opportunity comes around soon — understand you though… If I do not have any pictures I mostly skip that topic on my blog… It feels kinda incomplete.
Ahhh I fancy Mexican now — even without pictures

Pictures definitely just make the blogging so much more worthwhile! That’s what everyone actually come for anyway haha
I’ve had a ton of missed blogging opportunities lately.
I hate when that happens! But it sounds like it was a fun night for you!
Oh this happens to me quite a bit, but sometimes I think it’s best for us to put the camera down and live in the moment, even if we sacrifice those blog photos.
I bet it was a great night!
