no rhyme or reason to this, but hey – monday’s over!
1) I really want to win this blogger competition and appreciate your help.
If I win, I promise to do a killer giveaway on this blog #markmywords. Here’s what needs to happen, I need to be in the Top 3 out of this list. Then, it will go to judges (where of course this post will take the cake. I know I write a bunch of nonsense, but I swear this one is worth it.
2) I bought a bike today!
It will arrive week mostly assembled. And I really hope it’s as mostly as they say. If it’s not, this is the precise reason I made sure I had male roommates. The winner was…
It won on price, practicality, that it shipped from Germany, and the fact that it came with all the bells and whistles.
3) We got our first snow!
Except delete that exclamation mark because I am not exactly excited. Last year it did not snow until December. That so-called “mild” winter was straight bone chilling. Texas girls don’t know what to do with this unheard of season. I’m officially terrified of the coming winter.
4) Daylight’s Savings Time ended on Sunday.
It is straight up dark here at 5:30 pm now. It makes me want to go to sleep at 8 pm. Sugar Free Red Bull will be necessary for the next few days until I adjust.
5) This light bulb has been hanging in the middle of my room for over a week now.
I don’t know if the outlet is on, so I can’t try and fix it without risking shock. I also don’t know where my circuit breaker is yet.
6) On the same note, my room development has been at a stand still.
I did get my make-shift closet set up and it was perfect and super cheap! However, I got a paycheck, so I can make some more progress soon. I bought dressers and hope to get a rug and a desk soon. Hopefully I can have a little apartment tour post for y’all in the coming month. Yeehaw!
7) Thursday is a German holiday.
A.K.A. Free Day. A.K.A. free day the day after Halloween Night. Germany doesn’t even do Halloween big. I mean, I will be doing it big, of course. The U.S. really needs to hop on this.

Look at you with your makeshift closet – go on girl! That’s awesome!
I can’t believe how perfect it actually worked!
Good choice. Are you going to store the bike in your room/office? I assume theft is a problem, along with the weather?
Enjoy the weather & your day off.
Love you, miss you, proud of, and for, you.
Love always,
Daddio
We have a little area in our back garden to store them so it won’t be on the street/too exposed. Plus, I bought a good lock of course!
I love all the holidays in Germany.
And I love that no one ever even knows what the holiday is
Jealous that you already had your first snow! All we have here in the states so far is a nasty hurricane hurdling our way
I still have Christmas music on, don’t worry!
Isn’t That Charming.
Ah don’t be jealous of the snow – I’m too scared of winter now. It didn’t snow until December last year, week. Hope you stayed dry!
It wasn’t really snow. More like sleet. I had to go out in it on Saturday
I definitely saw some real snow, but ya definitely didn’t stick.
Your room is coming together beautifully! And how exciting that you ordered the bike – I hope it comes as they said it would and that it doesn’t cause you too much grief. Fingers crossed about the comp! xoxox
Thanks so much Vanisha! I’m pretty happy with everything so far
Allerheiligen should be a holiday everywhere!
And yay for the first snow!
Ich drücke die Daumen! You need to win!
I mean how perfect is it having a holiday the day after Halloween. It should definitely be adopted worldwide!
Nice bike! And your insta-closet is nifty looking!
LOVING my new bike, very happy with the decision so far, just wish the weather would allow me to enjoy my rides a bit more.
Voted for you and shared on FB. Good luck.
thank you so much!
