Welcome to my first edition of stuff I like. It seems as though every other blogger does this and lately I like a lot of stuff, so I figured I’d share.
Bacon Number
Google’s got quite a few tricks up its sleeve, but this one has got to be the weirdest. The search giant took the Kevin Bacon stunt to the next level. Google ‘[insert any celebrity name here] Bacon Number’ and find out how many degrees of separation are between any famous person and Kevin Bacon. It’s oddly entertaining.

I need to give special thanks to Leanna for this one. I am not usually a fan of daily emails, but the Skimm sends the big news of yesterday and the morning right to your inbox written in conversational terms. I kinda love it. Plus, you’ll never be that person in the office pretending you know what event your coworkers are talking about.
New Digs
I have an office. The office has a desk with an electronic button to raise it to different levels to help your back. It can raises high enough to be a standing desk. Yay for modern work spaces. And yay for new jobs…. I have lots to tell y’all. Just not today.
Dirndls
Oktoberfest begins Saturday. You know what that means… dirndl season! I have a brand new one and cannot wait to wear it in Munich in a couple weeks. Dirndls are the most fun thing to wear in the entire world – FACT.
Grungy Pub Crawl
My dear friend Benedikt turned 23 this week and planned pretty much the best birthday party ever. He organized a pub crawl for friends at the grungiest bars in the city. You know, those bars that you see 2 old men sitting at the bar chain smoking cigs and you’re pretty sure no one else has ever stepped foot in there? We invaded about 5 of them and had the best time. The drinks were also suppperrr cheap and we always scored special deals.
“Arrested Development” on Netflix
This is probably one of the most exaggerated shows I’ve ever seen. Seriously, the characters are over the top. I love it. I’d been looking for a new show to watch in my spare time and so far “Arrested Development” is filling in nicely!

oh…Octoberfest. i’m not a fan of beer but my German friend always convinces me that it’s great. he insists that i should join it. sadly, i can’t this year.
They do have wine at Oktoberfest too, but you would definitely have to drink a beer. It’s the most fun thing ever though so you have to come some day!

Welcome to my world
Oh my gosh, I cannot even explain how much I love Arrested Development! I watched it quite some time ago but it’s one of those series I can always go back to! If you need something else to watch, Dollhouse is seriously good! It’s two seasons and on Netflix as well!

I had a desk that did the raising and lowering thing at a job many years ago and I still miss that desk. I spent my entire first week on that job standing up while I worked. Awesome.
Speaking of awesome, you look awesome in your awesome new dirndl. (Awesome!) I’m going to Oktoberfest during the last weekend- my first ever. I’m wearing lederhosen and I want to trick some American tourists into thinking I’m a local. Is that mean?

Re: Arrested Development- they’re actually currently filming a new season of Arrested Development, and Netflix is the distribution channel. Lots of people are very happy about this.
In love with that desk, I think everyone deserves one. You can definitely trick American tourists as I would have fallen for anything last year when I was new to Germany. I am going this weekend and then on Oct 3-5 or something. I adore Oktoberfest and am all too excited. And I had no idea about Arrested Development, that’s awesome!
I’m going to be at Oktoberfest on October 6th… if you’re still there, I’ll buy you a Maß.
Ah I think I am going this weekend now and the 3-5! Bummer… you’ll just have to drink that extra liter in my honor. Have a blast!
